Financial mistakes made by Lois Woodard(Grandma)

Updated: Oct 25, 2021

I interviewed my grandmother with the topic of financial mistakes she made in her life. In the interview I asked her to give me two financial mistakes she made and how she learned from them. The first mistake she said she made was one time she had purchased a car for thirteen hundred and drove it for six months, but the car messed up on her, so she went back to the person she purchased it from to get the car fixed and he didn't fix the car. She learned that she shouldn't buy used cars that aren't in good condition. Another mistake she made was purchasing a ceramic heater which is something you can cook in and the woman she purchased it from said that the heater worked well, so my grandma ended up buying it for five hundred. When she got home she found out that the heater didn't work at all, so she took it back to the woman to explain that it didn't work asking to get her money back and the woman didn't give my grandma her money back. The lesson she learned is that she should've watched the woman turn it on and use it before she purchased it.
